Product Marketing Manager Automotive w|m|d hybrid work model 80-100%

The Product Marketing Manager acts as an interface between product, marketing and other supporting business teams and ensures the product-market-fit and the value communication internally and externally. The PPM supports the product teams in gaining a clear perspective of the market needs and communicating the customers/users needs to the marketing team. The PMM collaborates with the teams to work out the value proposition for existing and new products.This role is the “translator” and the glue among different teams and stakeholders involved and facilitates the introduction and delivery of additional product value to both customers and users of the automotive service offering of SMG.
The Role
  • drive cross-functional alignment through the product development and go-to-market process, tracking success metrics accordingly
  • Drive initiatives such as E-Vehicles and private selling experience both on marketing and product side to make sure that user needs are met
  • Topic owner of all product landing pages to ensure USPs and value propositions are adequately communicated
  • Product owner AutoScout24 CMS to ensure technical maintenance and development
  • Define target groups, create personas and go to market strategy for new product features
  • Work with product and marketing teams to define new opportunities and strategically plan and prioritise them according to the business needs and goals
  • Work closely with product teams: Be involved in the discovery process of new products, take part in user research (i.e. interviews, surveys), have a clear understanding of the customer journey and needs, test new product ideas for product-market-fit
  • Work with data analytics team to analyse in-depth and customise analysis if necessary to get insight on solution readiness and market positioning
Required Skills
  • Marketing skills and a broad understanding of marketing channels and disciplines such as content marketing, SEO, social media, digital marketing, paid performance channels and marketing automation.
  • Strategic planning and business skills such as financial planning and revenue projection, understanding of business metrics and KPIs in order to support the product launches and help driving revenue.
  • Product Knowhow and agile mindset to understand the processes and be able to work closely with the product teams and contribute to the company OKRs.
  • Writing skills to clearly and effectively communicate the benefits of the product both internally and externally.
  • Presentation skills to explain the marketing product strategies to a wider group of stakeholders in the organisation.
  • Empathy and understanding for the customers/users needs and pains to be able to translate the product features into solutions and tangible benefits for them.
  • Prioritisation skills and strategic thinking
Your qualification
  • University degree in business administration, marketing or similar
  • Min. 5 years of experience of professional working experience in similar role
  • Project management and digital marketing experience is an advantage
  • Experience working at DTC tech/ecommerce companies a plus
  • Fluent in English (German and/or French language skills beneficial)
